Fridays for Future Rebrand

Project Overview
In one of my favorite classes in school we were given the assignment to take a company or organization that could use some rebranding as a practice. I am an environmentalist, so I had been itching to do some work for organizations that I believe in.
I chose Greta Thunberg's project, Fridays for Future. She inspired me with her words, and I wanted to feel that inspiration in their branding, and to use my skills to help increase their visibility.
Details
The old logo and branding of Fridays for Future felt like a kids movement, instead of a proto political movement for the future.
I used the theme of messages to portray the urgency with which we must listen to the striking youth, listen to the scientists and act on the climate crisis.
Fridays for Future new logo design
The new logo for the Fridays for Future movement that I designed has a stronger sense of urgency, of action and of power than the old design. It speaks to the political nature of the movement, to the youth that form the movement and sends a
clear message.

For the branding I continued the motif of the message to put an emphasis on the individual voices that make up the movement and that make it so strong.
